An Astound Internet Self-Installation Kit allows you to install your Astound internet equipment when you are ready. Once you receive your equipment, just unbox, plug in and connect! Clear step-by-step instructions are included and your equipment will be provisioned and ready to start cruising the internet!
How do I order an Astound Self-Installation Kit?
Great question. When scheduling an appointment with a customer care agent, or when placing an order on our website, you can choose either delivery by mail or express drop-off.
How will I receive my self-installation kit?
Astound offers you two ways in which to receive your self-installation kit:
Delivery by mail: Your kit is delivered via mail within 3-5 days of ordering. Prior placing the order, our agent will ensure your order and residence qualify for self-installation.
Express Drop-off: After placing you order, our technician will arrive at your location and:
- Ensure the network is ready to go outside of your residence.
- Leave the Astound Express Self-Installation Kit wherever you’ve requested.
After I receive the Astound Self-Installation Kit, when will my billing begin?
Billing starts as soon as you plug in the modem and connect to the internet. If you do not plug in the modem within (14) days of its receipt, billing will begin on day 15 and continue on a monthly recurring basis.
In addition to internet services, what other services can I order as part of the Astound Self-Installation Kit?
At this time, self-installation is only available for Internet service or Internet Service + Mobile.
Which modem model will be in my Astound Self-Installation Kit?
That’s a great question. The model of modem depends upon the speed you have purchased and our inventory. We’ll ensure that you have the right modem for the job!
How do I hook up the modem in my self-installation kit?
The kit includes a QR code for online instructions. Use a mobile device or tablet to scan the QR code and be directed to the step-by-step guide on our website.
You can also open the PDF to view or print the step-by-step guide.
What should I do if I don’t know the password on my modem?
No problem. Call our Astound Care team at 1.800.427.8686 and they can help reset your password.
Can I use my own modem instead of an Astound-provided one?

What if I ordered an Astound eero? Will I receive that in my Astound Self-Installation Kit?
Yes, you will receive the eero(s), modem and QR code for step-by-step installation instructions.
